BIO
Yanina Almanza is a Bolivian-Quechua community organizer, artist, and emerging poet based in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. Since migrating to the U.S. as a young girl, Yanina has been forced to navigate many worlds to stand where she is today. She is inspired by the resilience she has inherited from her ancestors and elders, as well as the years of organizing within movement spaces to seek a better world. Yanina holds a B.A. in Government and International Politics from George Mason University.
