Melina Casados

BIO
Originally from North Carolina where received Elon University’s Hartman Prize in Poetry and was a NC State Poetry Contest Finalist, Melina Casados now resides in Brooklyn, NY. She is an MFA candidate at Brooklyn College where she is an inaugural scholarship recipient of the Black Lives Matter Poetry Alliance. Melina is also the assistant poetry editor for Snapdragon: A Journal of Art & Healing. Her work often explores themes of identity, culture, and relationships and has been featured in publications including Ice Colony’s What They Leave Behind Latinx Anthology, FreezeRay, and Remington Review.
